Just stumbled across the recording of me scraping all of my guitar strings while adding headphones from my amp (with distortion) to my phone when i recorded the sound and i decided to share this with you.

Sound is a bit of prepared guitar. . . The strings had some "twistie-ties" on them, and they were scraped/bowed with a screw driver near the bridge. Guitar was processed with delay, and i believe maybe some other effects. Sounds, at times, similar to a droning sitar.

An atonal, cacophonous series of plucked strings with a timpani in the background to try and create a prickly feeling. Originally made to be used in a horror game i am working on. Generative modular acid line sequenced with my own custom script that is specialized for non-quantized sort of strings of notes. I mangled the envelope quite a bit though so it just sounds more swingy than anything i guess. Not sure what the bpm would be. Would be better if it were cut up for one-shot sounds maybe.

Before you say "a tanpura should not be played in such a way" please be comforted by the fact that this is not a traditional tanpura (and will never sound or be able to be played exactly like a traditional tanpura) it is part of the swar sangam, which combines the four drone strings of the tanpura with 15 harp strings. I am only playing the tanpura part in these recordings.

The drums have some effects from fabfilter's "timeless" plugin, and also some distortion, but nothing too fancy. This is my first sound contributed to the community so they'll hopefuly get more interesting as i improve, but feel free to use it as you wish.
